| I've
been a photographer for fourteen years, stemming from a year's
travel to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia when I was twenty-four.
Realizing my insatiable desire for photographing (it actually
happened on the 21 hour flight home-carrying 33 rolls of film-when
it hit me like a club to the head, "Oh yeah, photography,
I really like this…"), I returned to my home state
of Connecticut, began studying the medium then found my first
job as a photojournalist for a handful of weekly newspapers.
I did that for several years, taking a summer off to photograph
throughout (at the time) Eastern and Western Europe. Since moving
to California in late 1989, I have focused on shooting families,
couples, children (including my own daughter who is now four
years old), corporate assignments, theatrical stills, as well
as my own fine art projects. |
