I’ve been photographing since 1987, stemming from a year’s travel to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia. I finally had to address my insatiable need to snap pics as I was flying home carrying 33 rolls of film. Upon my return to Connecticut, I began studying the medium and then found a job as a photojournalist for a handful of weekly newspapers. I continued that for several years, taking periodic breaks to travel and shoot.

Since moving to California in 1989, I have finished two novel-length manuscripts, married, had an incredible baby girl (now in double digits), become un-married, and begun my own photography business. I have focused on shooting headshots as well as photographing families, couples and children, theatrical stills and corporate assignments.

During a session, I like to get to know the client a little, chat and laugh. I want your experience to be enjoyable and painless--as many actors have readily admitted that they cringe and hesitate when it comes to renewing their headshots.

Creating an atmosphere where a client can relax, breathe, laugh and be themselves, I believe leads to the most natural and “real” reflections of themselves in the final product. I feel I have succeeded when, at the end of a shoot, the client smiles, then states with amazement, “Wow! That was actually fun.”
